We are looking for an energetic accounting professional to join our Finance Team and handle many processes. The Staff Accountant will handle aspects of the AP process, many close functions, and credit card and expense reporting functions. This role comes with lots of growth potential and opportunities to develop skills in many accounting related systems.

AS A STAFF ACCOUNTANT, YOU WILL:
Enter bills and process weekly payments in our automated AP system.
Work within many treasury systems and completing treasury functions, submitting AP and non-AP payments, and transferring cash between accounts and banks.
Importing and entering bank transactions and reconciling bank accounts on a weekly basis.
Perform weekly cash activity reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Respond to AP, Corporate Card, and Expense report inquiries.
Contribute to Monthly close processes including monthly analytics, making adjusting entries, reviewing and approving corporate credit card and reimbursable expense reports, and maintaining balance sheet schedules.
Provide account reconciliations for our annual audit and respond to selection requests and audit inquiries.
Create, update, and maintain process documents.
Perform ad hoc reporting and analytics.

OFFICE INFORMATION:
Leap Event Technology is a 100% remote-friendly company. However, we do offer the option of working in the office for employees located in Montréal (CAN), Dallas (U.S.), Sydney (AUS). All of our offices are stocked with snacks and drinks and we provide a free lunch every week. We offer a monthly travel stipend, and even host the occasional themed party and happy hour!
If you don’t live near an office but happen to be visiting nearby, you can work from the office for as long as you need.

Leap Event Technology requires all Event Operations employees and contractors who will be representing the company at a client event to be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to attending. Job requirements
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other Business related field;
Minimum of 1 years experience in an Accounting or Business related role;
Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel;
Experience with NetSuite;
Excellent written and communication skills;
Ability to work well independently;
Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
