We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to lead and oversee our end-to-end data analytics processes. This role is responsible for managing the full analytics lifecycle—from data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) through to advanced statistical analysis, visualization, and actionable insights. The Senior Data Analyst will provide strategic guidance to business stakeholders based on data-driven findings.

AS A SENIOR DATA ANALYST, YOU WILL:

  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and usability of data delivered by data engineering teams by conducting thorough quality assurance checks, validating business rules, and preparing datasets for advanced analysis and reporting

  • Proficiency performing advanced statistical analysis of complex datasets to identify patterns or correlations that drive informed decisions

  • Perform advanced statistical and quantitative analyses to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, visualizations, and reports to support decision-making across the organization

  • Build well-managed data solutions and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers

  • Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Continuously evaluate new tools, technologies, and methods to optimize analytics capabilities.

  • Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to define analytical needs and deliver insights that drive business strategy.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.

  • Strong proficiency with SQL and data manipulation in relational databases.

  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).

  • Expertise in statistical analysis and modeling using tools such as Python, R and dbt.

  • Strong skills in data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, GoodData).

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and business impact.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with big data technologies (preferably Snowflake).

  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in analytics.

  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

OFFICE INFORMATION:

Leap Event Technology is a 100% remote-friendly company. However, we do offer the option of working in the office for employees located in Montréal (CAN), Dallas (U.S.), Sydney (AUS). All of our offices are stocked with snacks and drinks and we provide a free lunch every week. We offer a monthly travel stipend, and even host the occasional themed party and happy hour! 

If you don’t live near an office but happen to be visiting nearby, you can work from the office for as long as you need.

Leap Event Technology requires all Event Operations employees and contractors who will be representing the company at a client event to be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to attending. Exemptions are determined by the event organizer. Employees are not required to be fully vaccinated to be present at an office facility.
