The Product Manager, Data & Analytics is responsible for leading the shared data platform layer across the company’s portfolio of products. We’re looking for someone who can take the data platform to the next level. This is a high visibility role where this individual will work on key initiatives and requires someone with strong communication and presentation skills to influence and align an executive audience.

AS A PRODUCT MANAGER, DATA AND ANALYTICS, YOU WILL:
Driving the company’s data initiative forward to deliver value
Ensure all relevant data is properly getting ingested into our data platform
Ensure our data platform is compliant with data privacy and security regulations
Shape the data infrastructure to meet the quality, discoverability, and format requirements necessary for machine learning and AI models.
Drive innovation in the live event space and how we leverage data to provide insights to event organizers, helping them achieve their outcomes, as well as Leap’s business objectives
Maintaining the Data and Analytics product roadmap, prioritizing based on ROI
Ensuring a discovery and research period is leveraged to ensure we’re delivering the right solutions based on market and client needs
Understand the data needs of different audiences and where that falls in priority - internal stakeholders, leadership, and various tiers of clients
Partnering with other product managers to collectively achieve outcomes where dependencies and competing priorities need to be coordinated across teams
Collaborating with other stakeholders to align on priorities and identify market opportunities
Manage the day-to-day product management duties for our Data Platform and Analyst teams
Manage two workstreams - one for our data engineering team and another for our analyst team that manages our data visualizations / dashboards
Gather and incorporate feedback into product feature requirements
Work with both onshore and offshore development resources (Tech Lead is located in the US)
Manage data and custom development requests, both internal and for external clients
Ensure solutions are designed to work across the Leap product suite, as appropriate
Acting as a subject matter expert and internal evangelist in the data and analytics space here at Leap
Stay up-to-date on topics related to data and analytics
Encourage others at the organization to leverage best practices around data usage and analytics requests
Maintain high standards around data integrity and what we’re leveraging in our data platform
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Required
5+ years experience in product management
5+ years managing data or analytics products
3+ years working cross-product / cross-platform
Experience working with large, disparate data sources
Experience working with data visualization tools
General knowledge of data governance best practices
Strong presentation skills for a variety of audiences, including senior leadership
Proven record delivering solutions with measurable impact
Experience leading product development teams using Scrum methodologies, including running ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives), managing backlogs, and facilitating workshops and requirements gathering sessions
Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, design, business teams), gather requirements from non-technical users, manage expectations, and communicate trade-offs
Ability to translate business objectives into technical requirements and product roadmaps while balancing competing priorities
Knowledge and understanding of data platform architecture (data warehouses, lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, reverse ETL), data modeling, and analytics software
Preferred
Experience with Jira
Experience building data platforms
Experience building unified consumer profiles via identity resolution across multiple data sources
Experience in one or more of the following domains:
Large consumer marketplace products with an understanding of multi-sided platforms (buyer/seller dynamics), high-volume transaction systems, and consumer-to-business interactions
Live events, ticketing, entertainment, or similar industries with an understanding of inventory management, booking systems, and seasonal demand patterns
Marketing automation systems including building audience segmentation and targeting capabilities, attribution modeling, and customer data platforms (CDPs)
Reporting and analytics products including designing dashboards for diverse stakeholders (executives, analysts, operational teams), implementing self-service analytics capabilities, and experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Omni)

OFFICE INFORMATION:
Leap Event Technology is a 100% remote-friendly company. However, we do offer the option of working in the office for employees located in Montréal (CAN), Dallas (U.S.), Sydney (AUS). All of our offices are stocked with snacks and drinks and we provide a free lunch every week. We offer a monthly travel stipend, and even host the occasional themed party and happy hour!
If you don’t live near an office but happen to be visiting nearby, you can work from the office for as long as you need.

Leap Event Technology requires all Event Operations employees and contractors who will be representing the company at a client event to be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to attending. Exemptions are determined by the event organizer. Employees are not required to be fully vaccinated to be present at an office facility.
